Dear Church Family:

Out of respect and concern for our church family and the greater community, we desire to follow the guidelines and help one another welcome everyone to worship together safely.   As talking points and news is continuous, here is a reference to current guideline highlights for worship and large gatherings:

  • Households remain 6 feet apart at all times.  However, singing comes with a significantly increased risk of transmission and the distance of 12 feet is suggested while singing.  Since we have the space outdoors we will have plenty of room to stretch out and worship freely.
  • Avoid loading and unloading vehicles while the vehicles next to you are loading or unloading.
  • Social distancing should be maintained before and after service.
  • Face masks are strongly encouraged. National, state, and county public health agencies are asking everyone to mask while in public.   An interesting note of consideration as political figures from across the spectrum all find agreement.
  • People with COVID-19 symptoms (cough, fever, shortness of breath, etc.) should not attend.
  • Please help other parents encourage social distancing by keeping your children with you at all times.  Mixing households can create a confusing situation as we gather. As well as the most popular with kids, staying clear of the playground equipment.

We face an on-going challenge, but the overall blessing of being able to do it together is greater and gives us hope.

“Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God.  Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.”

Romans 5:2-5 reminds us that the grace of God, which is worked out even more in facing challenges together, leads us all to better experience the love of God.   His Spirit is alive in us and continues to lead us!
